Center for Human Services

Celebrates 27th Edible Extravaganza!

Center for Human Services’ Edible Extravaganza is back!  This year, Center for Human Services’ Edible Extravaganza celebrates 27 years as the Central Valley’s most anticipated food and beverage show!  Last year nearly 1,400 people attended this signature event, with this year’s event projected to be just as popular.  The 27th Edible Extravaganza is set for Thursday, September 5, 2013 from 6:00 – 9:00 pm at the Centre Plaza in Downtown Modesto.

Returning features this year:

Limited “Preferred” Tickets for $100.  With this special ticket you have the opportunity to get in at 5pm during the private reception and beat the crowds!

A Best in Show contest amongst the vendors!

                      Special Drawing prizes!

                      A Corporate Sponsor Lounge!

More fun than you’ve ever had with us before!

Along with support from underwriting sponsors Prime Shine Car Wash, Save Mart Supermarkets and Valley First Credit Union, this year’s event will feature the best restaurants, caterers, bakers, confectioners, vintners, beverage purveyors and local growers that our area has to offer.  Center for Human Services is thrilled to welcome new vendors this year as well.  They include, but are not limited to, The Chopping Block, Papa Johns, The Boardroom, Bookies Sports Bar & Lounge, Tioga Sequoia Brewing Company and Texas Roadhouse.

The event will feature a courtyard reception from 5:00pm-6:00pm.  The doors to the main event will open to the public at 6:00 pm.  Featured at the event will be samplings of signature dishes and wines created by over 50 of the area’s newer restaurants and wineries as well as our long-time favorites.  In addition, live music will be performed on 2 stages throughout the entire evening.

As always, Edible Extravaganza will help raise funds for Center for Human Services, a private, local, non-profit agency, celebrating 43 years of service to Central Valley youth and families.  Programs operated by Center for Human Services (CHS) include: Hutton House, Family Resource Centers, Community Counseling Services, Pathways, Youth Court, Student Assistance Program and more.

Tickets are $40.00 in advance or $50.00 at the door and can be purchased at all Valley First Credit Union locations, The Modesto Convention and Visitors Bureau, Steves Chevrolet/Buick in Oakdale, and Center for Human Services or by calling our main office at 526-1476.  Online ticket purchases may also be made by visiting http://www.centerforhumanservices.org/edible/index.html
